About Jeff Dwarshuis

Jeff Dwarshuis is a classical guitarist living in Grand Rapids Michigan. He has an extensive repertoire in Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern music. Mr. Dwarshuis has performed throughout The Midwest including The Grand Rapids Art Museum, The Cranbrook Art Museum, The Detroit Institute of Arts, The Toledo Museum of Art, Kalamazoo Valley College, The All Saints’ Summer Recital Series of Saugatuck, The Soul of The City Concert Series in Saint Paul?s Church of Muskegon, The Barker Concert Series in Central Reformed Church of Grand Rapids and Christ Church Cranbrook?s Salon Concert Series. Additionally, Mr. Dwarshuis has done ensemble work with organist Jeremy David Tarrant at The Cathedral Church of Saint Paul in Detroit to present the organ/guitar work of Chris DeBlasio. He has performed in Michigan schools and has been a performing guest with The Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Keys Club. Dwarshuis has been a frequent guest on WGVU’s The Morning Show to play live radio broadcasts. Dwarshuis has had extensive consultation with Classical Guitarist Paul Vondiziano on the art of performance, music interpretation, and guitar technique. Mr. Dwarshuis is a licensed practicing psychotherapist. Also he is a consultant and trainer on behavioral performance enhancement utilizing and teaching the disciplines of mind-body therapy, hypnotherapy, cognitive evaluation, Neuro – Linguistic Programming, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and Systems Theory. All disciplines he applies to his concert performance and communication. Mr. Dwarshuis performance will be an exciting set of the most prized pieces for the classical guitar. From beautiful Lute transcriptions of The Renaissance to modern day masters, Jeff’s playing will take you through centuries of guitar virtuosity and beauty.
